Arrange your interview

We will take a look at your application and arrange your interview.

Interviews will take place at a time and place convenient to you, your Unit Head will be in touch to arrange this with you.

Attend your interview

Your interview will be with JCUSA ambassadors (these are people who have been to camp previously).

Interview Locations

Interviews take place online or in person.

Pass your interview

We will then begin the next step of the program to find you the best summer opportunity.

You will receive an email from us informing you that you have passed your JCUSA interview.

Program Fee 1 - £50 / $50

Due upon your interview being successful.

Background Check

JCUSA will give you all the information you need for your background check.

You must have an up-to-date background check in order to go to camp.

Conversation with camp

The camp director will contact you for an online conversation, so remember to check your email frequently!

Even if you don’t get offered a job at the first camp, we will continue to give you opportunities at other camps, one at a time so there isn’t anything to worry about.

Job confirmed at camp

Camp will confirm if you are hired. Bring on the best summer ever, Mazal Tov!

They will let us both know your role and the dates you are required to work.

Program Fee 2 - £250 / $250

This fee is due within 5 days of your job being confirmed with camp.

Attend appointment at US Embassy

You will need to attend a visa appointment at the US Embassy to get your J1 visa.

We will help you with all the steps needed for this. It costs $185 (paid to US Embassy).

Book flights

We will give you the information you need to book your return flights to camp.

Flight prices vary, however the earlier you book the best price you will get and if you need any flight support we are always here to help.

Medical Insurance

Your medical insurance will be processed once we have your contract dates.

The JCUSA package includes medical insurance for the duration of your camp contract. This insurance doesn’t cover any pre-existing medical conditions.

Orientation Day

Attend our camp-filled orientation day.

Takes place in March/April, exact date will be confirmed soon.
