This is the first step to your life-changing summer!

Arrange your interview

We will take a look at your application and arrange your face-to-face interview.

Interviews will take place at a time and place convenient to you, your Unit Head will be in touch to arrange this with you.

First fee - £50

Before the interview, for all participants in the UK, to secure your interview and show your commitment to the programme.

This can be paid via an online link. If for any reason you don't succeed in the JCUSA interview, this will be refunded.

Attend your interview

Your interview will be with JCUSA ambassadors (these are people who have been to camp previously).

Interview Locations

Interviews take place on campus in Leeds, Nottingham, Birmingham, Bristol as well as various other places around the UK and world.

Pass your interview

We will then begin the next step of the program to find you the best summer opportunity.

You will receive an email from us informing you that you have passed your JCUSA interview and asking for any documents we may need.

Second fee - £100

This fee is due within 10 days of passing your JCUSA interview.

This can be paid via an online link. If for any reason you don't succeed in getting a job at camp, this will be refunded.

Background Check

JCUSA will give you all the information you need for your background check.

You must have an up-to-date background check in order to go to camp.

Conversation with camp

The camp director will contact you for an online conversation, so remember to check your email frequently!

Even if you don't get offered a job at the first camp, we will continue to send you to other camps, one at a time so there isn't anything to worry about.

Job confirmed at camp

Camp will confirm if you are hired. Bring on the best summer ever, Mazel Tov!

They will let us both know your role and the dates you are required to work.

Final UK JCUSA fee - £150

This fee is due within 10 days of your job being confirmed with camp.

In order to go to camp in the summer there is paperwork to do, which we will help you through.

J1 visa

Flights

Attend appointment at US Embassy

You will need to attend a visa appointment at the US Embassy to get your J1 visa.

We will help you with all the steps needed for this. It costs $160 (paid to US Embassy).

Book flights

We will give you the information you need to book your return flights to camp.

Flight prices vary, however the earlier you book the best price you will get and we are always here to help with any flight support.

Medical Insurance

Your medical insurance will be processed once we have your travel dates.

The JCUSA package includes 90 days of insurance, you can buy extra days for anything more. This insurance doesn't cover any pre-existing medical conditions.

Orientation Day

Attend our camp-filled orientation day.

Takes place in April, exact date will be confirmed soon.

We have the lowest fees so you will spend less and earn more than anywhere else! It is all about the experience and not the money, but it is always an advantage to get paid as much as you can. So once you have worked at camp, you will earn between $1650 to $2400.
